Mountaintop Family Sessions

Mountaintop Sessions are my equivalent of classic family portraiture. They are lightly posed but never stiff. I will guide you towards the best views and the most dramatic light, then step away for a moment so you can relax and interact with your family in an easy and natural manner.  

The focus of these images is twofold: the moments of connection that occur, close up and intimate, as well as a broader view of your family within the blue, sweeping mountain landscape that surrounds you.  

I aim to shoot when the light is low and golden- the 90 minutes leading up to sunset. (Or as close to that time as bedtimes permit.) This allows us to be playful with sun bursts, silhouettes and backlighting, and make use of the flattering and nostalgia-inducing glowing hues of slanted sunlight.
